Everything You Need to Know About Your Screening

Will I be required to fast for the test?

Clients are not required to fast before the test. Eat and drink as normal

Do I need to give a blood sample?

Blood tests are not required. The screening is completely non-invasive, with no needles.

Will it hurt?

The screening is non-invasive and painless.

Should I bring in my heart or blood pressure medication?

Our questionnaire will ask for details of your current medications, so we do not need to see the medications.

Who should book a test?

People at risk of Heart Attack, or Stroke
Risk factors include one or more of the following
Over 40 years of Age
Have a Family history of heart disease
Being postmenopausal
Smokers
High LDL, or “bad” cholesterol, and low HDL, or “good” cholesterol
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
Physical inactivity
Obesity (having a BMI greater than 25)
Uncontrolled diabetes
High C-reactive protein
Uncontrolled stress and anger
Poor diet
Alcohol use

Will I be required to undress for the test?

Clients are not required to undress.  Wear comfortable clothing, and either short sleeves or sleeves that can be rolled up so that we can administer the test on your upper arm and wrist. 

Will I need to exercise during the test?

No exercise or treadmills are involved. The screening and consultation will be administered while the patient is comfortably seated throughout

Will I be able to drive afterwards?

There is no sedation involved in the screening, so you will be able to drive if required afterwards.
